GALION, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Galion History Center has announced a new seasonal wellness series, inviting the public to experience the meditative practice of sound baths within the historic halls of Brownella Cottage.

The “Spring Sound Baths,” led by Desiree Hanning, are scheduled for three dates across March and April. The sessions aim to provide a nervous-system-reset through immersive auditory relaxation, set against the backdrop of the 1887 Victorian mansion.

Sessions are currently scheduled for:

  • Sunday, March 29 at 4:00 p.m.
  • Friday, April 10 at 6:00 p.m.
  • Sunday, April 19 at 4:00 p.m.

Brownella Cottage, the former home of the controversial Bishop William Montgomery Brown, remains a staple of Crawford County history. Utilizing the space for wellness events allows the community to engage with the site’s “time capsule” atmosphere in a modern, therapeutic way.

Tickets for the hour-long sessions are $20 per person. Due to the intimate nature of the cottage’s interior, the History Center noted that space is strictly limited.

Participants are asked to bring their own yoga mats or blankets, pillows, and a drink in a closed container.

Registration is available online through the Zeffy ticketing platform: zeffy.com
