GALION—On May 12, 2023, deputies from the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office and METRICH Enforcement Unit executed a narcotics search warrant at 879 E. Walnut St in Galion, following an investigation into illegal narcotics being sold and used from the property. Galion Police Department assisted in the operation.
During the execution of the search warrant, deputies seized suspected methamphetamines, prescription medication, suspected cocaine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia from the residence. Ashley McNeely, age 39, was the target of the investigation for trafficking in methamphetamines.
Prior to the search warrant, deputies initiated a traffic stop on McNeely, who was operating a 2011 Hyundai Elantra. Approximately 35 grams of methamphetamines were found in her possession, leading to her arrest and transportation to the Crawford County Justice Center.
McNeely is facing charges of trafficking in methamphetamines, along with other charges. Reports will be forwarded to the Crawford County Prosecutor’s Office for consideration of charges.
