The Galion Elementary Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) tabulated the final sales numbers and thirty-four Primary and Intermediate School students earned a special day away from campus as the top sellers in the PTO Fall Fundraiser.

Each year, the Galion Elementary PTO conducts a fall fundraiser to raise monies to help support enhanced opportunities for students in the Galion City School District. The top sellers this year each sold more than 18 items and earned a special limo ride around Galion and lunch at Pizza Hut of Galion Dec. 10.

“Our Primary and Intermediate School students and their parents do a fabulous job with the Fall Fundraiser every year,” PTO Treasurer Bryan Summer said. “There are many rewards that students can earn for selling items during the fundraiser, but the limo ride and lunch out are hands down the most popular rewards we offer students.”

Primary School students that qualified for the limo ride and lunch at Pizza Hut included: Trinity Cooley, Bryson Hyer, Wesley Nulk, Noah Gillam, Haedyn Greanya, Jimmy Unger, Addison Ute, David Hockensmith, Gabrielle Harper, Mackenzie Jones, Lilly Elder, Allyssa Woodmansee, Kyle Williams, Cameron Snyder, Parker Tinch, Tyler Ousley, Antonio Casaus, Jalie Kildow and Jadyn Gibbs.

Intermediate School students who qualified for the reward included: Abryonna Fannin, Colton Bonen, Cheyenne Davis, Angel Strickler, Xander Cooper, Hanif Donaldson, Sommar Sheriff, Logan Moore, Samantha Abouhassan, Chloe Rupp, Kourtney Rinehart, Jasmine Butterfield, Hayden Kaple and Torrie Keeton.

“These students did a fantastic job raising funds to help enhance the classroom activities at the Primary and Intermediate Schools,” Superintendent Mark Stefanik said. “I want to thank the students, their parents and the entire Galion community for supporting our Elementary PTO and the many educational programs they financially support for students in our district.”

The total amount raised during the 2014 Fall Fundraiser exceeded $12,400. These funds will be used for a variety of school activities such as Reading Counts, Field Day, Library resources, Music programs, educational supplies and special events.
