The Galion Safety Council will be hosting a Health and Wellness Fair from 7 – 10 a.m. on Feb. 18 at Polk Township Hall.
The Health and Wellness Fair will feature a number of stations addressing various health issues. That list includes:
• Blood draw: please fast 12 hours prior to the draw. Cost is $30. Refreshments will be available after the blood draw.
• Blood pressure checks
• Body Mass Index (BMI) test
• Therapy/grip strength test
• Five minute chair or table massage – free to the first 50 attendees
• Smoking cessation awareness by Avita Cardiopulmonary Rehab Department
• Exercise program information from the YMCA Wellness Coach
• Breast cancer awareness
• Diabetic education by Avita staff
• Chiropractic care by Dr. Thresa Young DC, Dr. Melony Heydinger DC, PC, and Shelley Smith CNC
• Reflexology by Paula Manning
• Free reflective house signs from the Galion Fire Department
• Car seat safety and safe sleep for infants information provided by the Galion Health Department
• Flu shots: cost is $30.
Admission is free. The Polk Township Hall is located at 7680 Ohio 309, Galion.
