If one believes in zombies then they’ve got to believe that the song Monster Mash was in big demand Saturday evening at the Galion Public Library.

The library hosted a Zombie Prom for teens and the zombies turned out in full force for the fun. Children’s Librarian Heather Tiffany said even some who weren’t among the undead came out to enjoy the festivities.

zombnie prom 1“We’ve got a lot of zombies here. We’ve got some survivors too, those who did not want to dress up as zombies. It’s for teens in grades 7 through 12 and they’ve all taken their own Zombie interpretation and are having a blast with it,” Tiffany said. “They’ve made their own corsages. Some of them are decorating zombie cookies as you can see over here and we are going to have a prom and a little bit as a prom is supposed to have, so we will name a Zombie Prom King and Queen at some point.”

In addition to snacks, the zombies enjoyed a movie about a love story only they could appreciate entitle “Warm Bodies.”

The organization Friends of the Library provided the refreshments.
