GALION, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Galion Public Library is inviting residents of Crawford County and beyond to attend a variety of engaging events this January.
Coffee and Coloring: On Wednesday, Jan. 8, from 2:00-4:00 PM, the library will host Coffee and Coloring at the Three Bean Coffee House in Galion. This monthly event is open to all ages, though children 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Coloring supplies are provided for free; attendees only need to purchase their drinks.
Adult Craft Night – Beat the Winter Blues: On Wednesday, Jan. 15, from 6:00-8:00 PM, the library will hold an Adult Craft Night in the Community Room. Participants will create two mental health-themed crafts: customized gratitude jars and a soothing microwaveable sock-and-rice snowman. Essential oils may be available to enhance the snowman craft. This event is open to all ages, but those 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
Political Education – The MLK You Didn’t Learn About in School: On Wednesday, Jan. 22, from 6:00-8:00 PM, the library will launch a new program called Political Education. The first session will focus on Martin Luther King Jr., exploring both well-known and lesser-known aspects of his legacy. This event is open to all ages, with those 16 and under requiring adult supervision.
Adult Game Night: On Monday, Jan. 27, from 5:30-7:30 PM, the library will host an Adult Game Night in the Community Room. This monthly event is for adults 18 and older and offers a variety of games, including Rummy-O, card games, and board games. Snacks and refreshments will be provided.
Adult 1:1 Help Appointments: The library is offering one-on-one technology help appointments for adults 18 and older on Jan. 20 and Jan. 29. Sessions are available at 1:30 PM and 3:00 PM. Patrons can receive assistance with Canva, social media, Microsoft and Google software, and more. Appointments can be booked via the library’s website or social media.
