The students and staff at Galion Primary School will be conducting a fundraiser, “Million Pennies for Mel”, through Friday, Oct. 31. The fundraiser benefits sixth grade student Melanie Wheeler and her family.
“Unfortunately, cancer has touched the life of one of our own,” Primary School Principal Cindy Voss said. “We want to do whatever possible to help Mel and her family, and show them that they have the love and support of the Galion City School District and the Galion community.”
If you would like to donate your spare change and pennies, please bring them to the Primary School office now through the end of the school day on Friday, Oct. 31. The Primary School staff will make sure that your donation goes directly to Melanie and her family.
