GALION—The City of Galion has announced plans for mosquito spraying as part of its ongoing efforts to control the mosquito population. Weather permitting, the spraying operations will take place on Wednesday, Aug. 16, in the northern half of the city, and Thursday, Aug. 17, in the southern half, with Harding Way serving as the clear dividing line between the two zones.

Officials have scheduled the commencement of the mosquito spraying at the early hour of 4:00 a.m. on both mornings. It is advised that all residents take necessary precautions during the spraying process.

Residents in the affected areas are strongly encouraged to keep their windows closed during the spraying period. Additionally, parents and pet owners are urged to ensure that children and animals remain indoors throughout the fogging operation. This precautionary measure is aimed at minimizing any potential exposure.

The City of Galion has reassured residents that the mosquito fog dissipates rapidly, typically within approximately 30 minutes of the commencement of spraying. This quick dissipation ensures that the impact on the environment and residents is limited.
