GALION—A woman was issued citations during two separate traffic stops on Friday evening and early Saturday morning.
At 10:22 p.m. on Friday, Beth M. Canankamp was issued a citation for driving without a license in the Gill Avenue area. At 1:58 a.m. on Saturday, she was issued a citation for driving without a license again and another one for a turn signal violation. A passenger in her vehicle was issued a warning for antagonizing the police department’s canine.
The vehicle Canankamp was driving was towed from the second scene on Harding Way East by Zeger’s Towing.

7:23 a.m.-Officers assisted a landlord on a standby at a rental property in the 200 block of Eighth Avenue.
7:40 a.m.-A non-injury accident was investigated in on Grove Avenue. Atiya Metzger was issued a citation for license forfeiture and a stop sign violation. Zeger Towing assisted at the scene.
9:15 a.m.-An Eighth Avenue resident reported their vehicle vandalized.
11:39 a.m.-A person reported items stolen from a resident in the 200 block of North Pierce Street.
4:11 p.m.-Possibly stolen items were found next to a garage in the 200 block of Orange Street and turned over to officers.
4:19 p.m.-Officers assisted Children’s Hospital and Children Services in the 200 block of Orange Street.
4:36 p.m.-A report of a small child unattended in the East Walnut Street area was investigated.
4:53 p.m.-A man was issued a warning for riding a lawnmower in the street.
8:14 p.m.-A Riblet Street resident reported that a man attempted to come into their residence. Officers did not locate anyone matching the man’s description in the area.
11:34 p.m.-A sex offense was reported and is under investigation.

12:55 a.m.-A man was issued a warning for a CCW violation and was picked up by a sober driver from Amann’s Reservoir. A juvenile was taken to the station to be picked up by a parent.
9:47 a.m.-A standby was conducted in the 100 block of Grant Street.
1:01 p.m.-A property dispute between neighbors on Smith Street was investigated.
4:27 p.m.-David G. Burgess Jr. was issued a citation for speeding on Gelsanliter Road.
5:30 p.m.-A report of at least 30 people with no masks on and no social distancing in a parking lot for a hayride in the 200 block of Pershing Avenue was investigated. The man running the operation was advised he could not have the hayride on the street and a report is being forwarded to the health department.
6:08 p.m.-A report of an assault was investigated in the 900 block of East Walnut Street.
8:49 p.m.-Johnathon J. Corder was issued a citation for driving under suspension in the 900 block of Water Way.
10:42 p.m.-A disturbance was investigated in the 200 block of Libby Lane.
10:52 p.m.-A disturbance was investigated in the Cedargate Apartments area. Joann Turner was arrested on a Crawford County warrant and issued a court date.

1:12 a.m.-Nicotine products were confiscated from three juveniles on East Church Street. The juveniles were dropped off to their parents and guardians.
7:08 a.m.-A car versus deer accident was investigated in the 7500 block of Ohio 309. Ronk’s Towing assisted at the scene.
9:20 a.m.-A domestic dispute was investigated in the 600 block of Mackey Street.
3:40 p.m.-April A. Evans, 42, Galion, was arrested in the 600 block of Mackey Street for domestic violence and taken to the Crawford County Justice Center after a report of a domestic dispute.
5:08 p.m.-A report of a protection violation was investigated in the 500 block of Crew Avenue.
9:07 p.m.-A welfare check was conducted in the 100 block of Easton Way.
