The Galion Police Department is asking the community for help in locating 68-year-old Fred Saunders Sr. Saunders walked away from his residence at 401 S. Union St. at 
approximately 9:30 p.m. on August 24. Saunders suffers from Alzheimer’s disease and is unfamiliar with the area as he has recently moved to the Galion area.
Saunders was last seen wearing blue jeans and a brown, green, or camo-colored t-shirt. The shirt may possibly feature Duck Dynasty on it. He is 5’09”, approximately 160-190 pounds, has gray hair and should be wearing glasses.
An extensive search was conducted by the Galion Police Department with assistance from the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office and the search for Saunders continues. The Sheriff’s Office has utilized an airplane to fly over the city in an attempt to locate Saunders.
