GALION, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—In the early hours of September 7, the Galion Police Department successfully apprehended four suspects involved in an attempted break-in at the First Federal Bank’s night drop box, thanks to a vigilant citizen’s complaint.

At approximately 7:00 AM, local authorities received a report from a concerned resident who noticed suspicious activity near the First Federal Bank, located at 901 Bucyrus Road. Police promptly dispatched officers to the scene, where they spotted a vehicle leaving the area at a high speed.

The suspects fled southbound out of the city, ultimately crashing the vehicle in Morrow County. An extensive search ensued, involving the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office, Ohio State Highway Patrol, and Ohio Department of Natural Resources.

The coordinated effort led to the successful arrest of all four individuals.

The Galion Police Department praised the citizen who reported the suspicious behavior, asserting that the person’s quick action, coupled with the officers’ rapid response, prevented a crime and resulted in the capture of those responsible.

The adult suspects—Jahmal Arnold (32), Anthony Gunn (31), and Edward Lowe (24), all from Pennsylvania—are currently being held at the Crawford County Justice Center while awaiting formal charges.

A 16-year-old male juvenile was also taken into custody in connection with the incident.
