GALION—Lt. Andrew Roystan of the Galion Police Department was placed on paid administrative leave after he was charged with OVI two weeks ago.
The incident, under the investigation of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, occurred shortly after midnight on Saturday, February 19th.
A video obtained from the OSHP seems to show Roystan driving west on East Main Street in Lexington. His hazard lights were flashing, and he swerved across the center lane.
Roystan was placed on paid leave two weeks ago, immediately after the charge.
Roystan is scheduled for a pretrial appearance in the Richland County Municipal Court on March 23rd.
