GALIONꟷA Galion man who did not show up for a hearing in Crawford County Common Pleas Court earlier this week was apprehended by Crawford County Sheriff’s deputies with assistance from Galion Police on Thursday afternoon.
Brent Stidham, 22, was arrested at 1:59 p.m. in the 600 block of South Boston Street on probation violations and a warrant. He was taken to the Crawford County Justice Center to be held for court.

1:17 a.m.-Officers assisted the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office with a traffic stop on South Street.
8:18 a.m.-A report of an elderly man with dementia walking with a black dog was investigated in the 300 block of Orange Street. An officer gave the gentleman a ride to his home.
11:34 a.m.-A report of kids playing on the roof of the pump house at Amann’s Reservoir was investigated. The juveniles were advised not to be in that area.
5:48 p.m.-A Cherry Street resident reported being threatened by someone they know.
7:07 p.m.-A report of a dog barking and running at large in the 300 block of Fairview Avenue was investigated. The dog owner was warned for allowing his dog to run at large and for its barking. The man was advised he will be issued a citation next time officers are called.
8:03 p.m.-A welfare check was conducted in the 900 block of Charles Street.
10:12 p.m.-A report of unruly juveniles in the 500 block of Richardson Avenue was investigated. The juveniles’ parents agreed to take care of the situation.
10:30 p.m.-Officers assisted the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office at Cedargate Apartments. Joann J. Turner was arrested for disorderly conduct.
