GALION—A man was arrested during a traffic stop after a report of a reckless driver in the 300 block of South Market Street.

Officers were called to the area at 11:20 p.m. on Monday after a report that a gray truck sped out of the Rich Station lot, drove through yards and ran stop signs.

Jarrod D. Matney was arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence, reckless operation of a vehicle and driving under suspension.

3:10 a.m.-A disturbance was investigated in the 500 block of Pershing Avenue.

5:44 a.m.-A Wood Street resident reported three vehicles ransacked overnight.

11:29 a.m.-Vandalism to a building in the 100 block of North Columbus Street was investigated and a bag of what appears to be mail was also found. The post office was contacted to examine the bag.

11:55 a.m.-A large bag of parcels was found in the 100 block of North Columbus Street was turned over to officers. Some of the parcels were opened with dates going back to June of 2019 and all had Crestline addresses.

3:06 p.m.-A report of an assault was investigated in the 300 block of Eighth Avenue.

3:53 p.m.-A South Boston Street resident reported a Mossberg 500 gun stolen from their residence, possibly by someone they know.

5:33 p.m.-A Gill Avenue resident reported being harassed by neighbors. Officers mediated the dispute.

6:50 p.m.-An apartment manager in the 200 block of Libby Lane reported that tenants moved out two weeks ago and left a dog and cat in the apartment. The manager gave them water and the Crawford County Dog Warden contacted.

8:45 p.m.-Shelby Compston was arrested during a traffic stop in the South Market Street area and turned over to Mansfield Police.

8:57 p.m.-A report of a vehicle pulling out of the Dollar General parking lot and striking the side of another vehicle was investigated. One person was issued a citation for driving onto a roadway from a place other than the roadway.

9:11 p.m.-A report of an assault was investigated in the 400 block of Libby Lane.

10:05 p.m.-Devyn D.L. Long was arrested for disorderly conduct and underage consumption in the 200 block of East Church Street.
