A robbery epidemic has apparently spread from Richland County into Crawford County. Following Sunday’s robbery of a gas station in Crestline, the Rich Gas Station in Galion was robbed at gunpoint Wednesday evening.
The Galion Police Department responded to the robbery complaint at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Upon arrival, the clerk advised that a white male, approximately 5’11” wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and a red bandana covering his face entered the store, brandished a handgun and demanded the money from the register. After receiving an undetermined amount of money, the suspect fled the store on foot.
Officers from the Galion Police Department received assistance from the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office and the Ohio State Highway Patrol in searching the area for the suspect.
