Each month, the Ohio Lottery recognizes students from across the state for outstanding academic achievements. Galion seventh grader Kaitlyn Schieber was selected as the December 2014 Ohio Lottery Academic All Star.
Schieber is respected by her peers and teachers, is always ready to work and has a exceptional “can do” attitude. She is an asset to any classroom, and her outstanding work ethic translates into high marks in her classes.
“This is a tremendous honor for Kaitlyn and our school,” Middle School Principal Jennifer Allerding said. “She is a model student and we couldn’t be happier that Kaitlyn was the first student in the history of the district to be selected as an Ohio Lottery Academic All Star.”
For being recognized as an Academic All Star, Schieber received an assortment of Partners in Education merchandise from the Ohio Lottery along with a gift card.
“This is wonderful recognition for an outstanding student,” Superintendent Mark Stefanik said. “I want to congratulate Kaitlyn, her parents and the entire Middle School staff. Kaitlyn’s achievements are a direct reflection of the work our teachers perform inside the classroom, the work Kaitlyn’s parents do at home, and Kaitlyn’s talent.”
