Three people, including two men from Galion, were sentenced Thursday in federal court for their respective roles in the robbery of KeyBank in Ontario.
Taylor Crisman, age 19, of Galion was sentenced by a judge in federal court to a total of 37 years in prison for the November 2015 robbery that involved holding the family of a bank manager hostage. Twenty-four-year-old Chris Hill was sentenced to 25 years in prison.
The two men were apprehended and arrested on Dec. 2, 2015, in Galion in a joint operation involving the Galion Police Department and FBI. Both men pleaded guilty to federal charges in October of 2016.
A third person, Sarah Garrett, was sentenced to 30 months in prison for helping the two men with information she garnered by accessing the Ohio Law Enforcement Gateway Network on her job. Hill reportedly drove the car while Crisman held the bank manager’s family hostage, including children until the bank manager returned from the bank with nearly $195,000 in cash.
