GALION—A Galion man was injured in a one-vehicle crash after fleeing from Galion Police at 9:20 p.m. on Saturday evening.
Trevor A. Gantz was the driver of the vehicle involved in the chase that began on Harding Way East with speeds reaching around 70 miles per hour. The vehicle Gantz was driving went off the road on North East Street, possibly striking a train.
Galion Fire and EMS assisted at the scene. Gantz was seriously injured and taken to the Galion Community Hospital ER then by medical helicopter to a Columbus hospital.
Gantz is facing one charge of failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer. Ronk’s Towing Service removed Gantz’s vehicle from the scene.

5 p.m.-A report of a man with no shirt and a fluorescent green hat chewing on a telephone pole was investigated on Sherman Street. Officers were unable to locate a man matching the description.
5:43 p.m.-A domestic dispute was investigated in the 100 block of Carmel Avenue. One person was issued a court date on a warrant and another was issued a warning for disorderly conduct.
6:12 p.m.-A reckless driver was arrested and turned over to the Ohio State Patrol on Portland Way South.
7:13 p.m.-A theft report was made at the police department.

9:44 a.m.-A Euclid Avenue resident reported being threatened by someone they know. One person was issued a warning for disorderly conduct.
10:06 a.m.-A Cedargate Apartments resident reported their vehicle stolen.
10:57 a.m.-Employees at Covert Manufacturing reported a driver hit several vehicles in the parking lot. Two juveniles were arrested in relation to the incident.
1:04 p.m.-One person was arrested in the 600 block of South Street for theft and criminal trespass.
5:03 p.m.-A domestic dispute was investigated in the 600 block of Portland Way South.
5:06 p.m.-A report of juveniles messing around a building in the 300 block of South Columbus Street was investigated. The juveniles were turned over to their parents.
5:52 p.m.-A report of a vehicle passing a stopped school bus was investigated in the Portland Way South area.
5:58 p.m.- A report of a vehicle passing a stopped school bus was investigated on North Washington Street.
7:17 p.m.-A report of a vehicle hitting a light pole in the 600 block of Harding Way West was investigated. Adam T. Eversole was issued a citation for driving under suspension and failure to control.
8:39 p.m.-A domestic dispute was investigated in the 400 block of Hensley Avenue.
10:46 p.m.-A Grove Avenue resident reported someone banging on their windows and attempting to look inside their house.
11:36 p.m.-A Fairview Avenue resident reported someone banging on their windows and shining a flashlight on and off. Officers were unable to locate anyone in the area.
