GALION―A Galion man was arrested on multiple charges after Galion Police officers investigated a report of an assault in the 300 block of South Market Street at 1:34 a.m. on Sunday.
Jarrod L. Simpson, 37, Galion, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear and on charges of domestic violence, possession of drugs, possession of drug abuse instruments, possession of drug paraphernalia.

10:27 a.m.-Brianna O. Blackburn was issued a citation for speeding on North Market Street.
12:32 p.m.-A report of dogs running loose and chasing people in the 400 block of West Atwood Street was investigated. A resident was issued a verbal warning for allowing her dogs to run at-large.
12:47 p.m.-A person reported several items stolen from their vehicle in the 1300 block of Ohio 61.
4:21 p.m.-Amber N. Sharp, 29, Galion, was arrested on a warrant in the 400 block of Libby Lane.
5:08 p.m.-A welfare check was conducted in the Cedargate Apartment area and everything was fine.
9:18 p.m.-Brittany C. Tolley was issued a citation for driving under suspension and a plate light out in the 800 block of Portland Way North.
11:30 p.m.-A purse found on Public Square was turned over to police.

4:18 p.m.-A report of four children playing unattended was investigated on North Union Street.
6:05 p.m.-Officers assisted the fire department with a small shed that was on fire in the 1300 block of Ohio 61.
11 p.m.-A report of a man who shot himself in the foot was investigated in the 300 block of South Murray Street.
11:21 p.m.-A report of loud music was investigated in the 100 block of South East Street.

12:48 a.m.-A welfare check was conducted on a juvenile in the 300 block of Pershing Avenue. Markus A. McClure, 32, was arrested and issued a court date on a warrant for failure to appear and the juvenile was fine.
12:51 a.m.-A report of a child left alone and crying in a vehicle in the 500 block of Galion Arms was investigated. The adults with the child were warned not to leave the child unattended.
9:19 a.m.-A resident turned over suspected drugs and paraphernalia to officers that they found at their residence.
3:33 p.m.-A South Street resident reported the attempted burglary of their garage.
4:20 p.m.-Sean L. Mcie, 28, Galion, was arrested on a Richland County warrant in the 600 block of South Market Street.
5:20 p.m.-A report of a neighborhood dispute was investigated in the 600 block of Harding Way East.
6:19 p.m.-A Harding Way East resident reported a bicycle stolen.
8:49 p.m.-A West Payne Avenue resident reported vandalism to their property.

5:33 p.m.-A welfare check was conducted in the 200 block of South Pierce Street on children. Officers assisted Children Services.
