GALION, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—Authorities from the Galion Police Department and the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office were called to a disturbance at the Wayside Station on Sherman Street in Galion on May 25.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a gray Corvette driven by John Nicholson, Jr. crashed into a fence across from the bar.

Three individuals were reportedly injured in the incident and sought medical attention.

Nicholson showed signs of impairment, prompting officers to review surveillance footage from the area. The case has since been handed over to the Crawford County Prosecutor’s Office for possible charges to be presented to a grand jury.

Nicholson was issued a citation for Operating a Vehicle While Under the Influence (OVI), which was addressed in Crawford County Municipal Court. According to Municipal Court Records, Nicholson stands charged with aggravated vehicular assault with alcohol. Nicholson has posted a $50,000 bond.
