GALION, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Galion Kiwanis Club announced the success of its annual Pancake Day, which drew an impressive turnout and raised over $3,200 to support local youth programs, a wide margin above last year’s totals.
The fundraising effort was significantly boosted by the introduction of a new corporate sponsorship opportunity this year, which brought in more than $1,300 from local businesses.
Sponsors were divided into three giving levels:
- The Short Stack ($250 Level) included First Federal, Cochran & Associates, CSI Insurance, and GBL Bank. GBL Bank also generously covered the cost of event supplies.
- The Flapjack ($100 Level) sponsors were Firelands, Bowlin Real Estate, Gompf Funeral Service, Park National, and Hempy Water.
Raffle donations from several local businesses, including Carrie’s Venue, Cleaning by Carrie, Galion Family Health Center, Galion Community Theater, Ole Dog’s Coffee, Raven’s Cloak Reiki & Treasures, and Three Bean Coffee House, contributed additional funds.
“We’re beyond grateful for the outpouring of community support,” said Carrie Cottrell, Galion Kiwanis President. “Every pancake served helps us make a difference in the lives of children right here in Galion — whether it’s through scholarships, youth activities, or service projects. This event truly shows what happens when a community comes together.”
Proceeds from the event will directly benefit Kiwanis programs aimed at supporting and empowering Galion youth throughout the year.
