The Galion Athletic Department would like to invite all area veterans to the Tigers football game against Marion Harding for a special recognition ceremony this Friday, Sept. 30.
Veterans will receive free admission to the game. The ceremony will include all veterans in attendance being recognized prior to kickoff. Each attendee will receive a pass from the Galion Athletic Booster Club for use at the concession stand.
“We need to show our appreciation to our veterans for their sacrifice and service to our country,” said Galion Athletics Director Kyle Baughn. “We hope that all our veterans, and their families, will attend the game so we can say ‘Thank You’.”
Along with recognizing veterans, the Athletics Department will also hold its annual Parents Night prior to kickoff. Student-athletes will escort their parents across the field.
“Parents are the biggest key to academic and athletic success for our students,” Baughn said. “This is our way of thanking them for their dedication and commitment to their children and the Galion City School District.”
