The Galion High School Showtunes Spectacular will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. at the Galion Community Theatre Friday, May 29. The group has staged this annual end of the year performance for more than 30 years.
This special show gives the students the opportunity to perform all of the musical pieces the group has learned during the entire school year. It is also a chance for the students to select special musical numbers to perform, including solos, duets and quartets.
“This performance is unique because it is the last time the underclassman students will get to perform with the senior members of the group,” Showtunes Director Rick Walker said. “There is a special slideshow presentation that highlights the seniors from their start with the group, as well as highlights from the many events the group has done throughout the school year.”
Tickets for the evening’s performance May 29 are $8.00 each, and can be purchased by calling 419-563-5805. This is a fun-filled, emotional evening of performing and the entire community is encouraged to attend this annual showcase of the Galion students’ musical talents!
