BUCYRUS—Diane Ross, 51, of Galion, is back in jail for allegedly violating the terms and conditions of her community control.
Ross was convicted in December 2021 of child endangerment, a felony of the third degree punishable with up to 36 months in prison. The charges resulted from an incident on May 18, 2021.
According to reports, Ross’ four-year-old grandson was able to reach a loaded 9mm gun which resulted in a fatal gunshot wound.
Crawford County Common Pleas Court Judge Sean Leuthold sentenced Ross to time in the Crawford County Jail and then ordered her to complete three years of community control which included a condition to have no contact with children and specifically her grandchildren.
According to allegations, Ross was caught on surveillance cameras with her grandchildren. Ross was taken into custody.
She is scheduled to be arraigned on Monday.
