GALION, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—A new electrical services company in town is “powering” the needs of customers in Crawford County and beyond.

DT Electric LLC, located at 915 Iberia Road, is owned by Dustin and Emely Tate. They launched the business about three years ago, although Dustin Tate, a certified electrician and journeyman, has more than 10 years of experience in the field.

The company, he said, is a source for all things electrical, from basic repairs, wiring, and panel upgrades to new installations and lighting projects inside and out for residential, commercial, industrial, and even agricultural customers.

“We do a lot in the farming community for grain dryers and grain setups too,” Tate said, “and pretty much anything that’s electrical we will do, new services, reworking the old wiring, changing out systems, and running new circuits.”

DT Electric can brighten up spaces with recessed lighting, he said, plus install ceiling fans, surge protection, and fire alarm systems. Other services include adding security cameras and parking lot lighting in homes and businesses.

Tate said safety and reliability are always key, especially when it comes to electrical work. “We are committed to providing our clients with top-notch electrical services, and we take pride in our work.”

Tate, 36, grew up north of Bucyrus and graduated in 2008 from Wynford High School. He and Emely were married in 2012 and moved to Galion, where he worked at Carter Electric as a foreman. They have three children.

He said DT Electric prides itself on premium work at a reasonable price, whether it’s routine maintenance or a complex electrical system. “Everyone at DT Electric enjoys working with clients to find the best solutions to their needs.”

Tate, who also employs one full-time and one part-time worker, said he hopes to expand the team down the road. His wife helps with the bookkeeping and said business has been good so far.

“The community has supported us well over the last three years,” she said. “We’re very grateful for their support.”
