BUCYRUS—A Galion couple appeared in Crawford County Common Pleas Court on a grand jury summons.

Eric Crose, 45, of Galion and his wife Kisha Crose, 41, also of Galion are each charged with possession of drugs,(oxycodone), fifth-degree felonies, and each punishable with up to 12 months in prison. They are also charged with child endangering, a misdemeanor of the first degree punishable with up to six months in jail.  They are also charged with three additional misdemeanor charges.

Crawford County Prosecutor Matt Crall told the court that Eric Crose had no prior felony and Kisha Crose had a 20-year-old conviction for unlawful sexual contact with a minor.

Attorney Jerry Thompson, who represented Eric and Kisha Crose for purposes of bond, asked the court for a personal recognizance bond for both defendants. Thompson told the court that their children ages 4, 9, and 14 were removed from the home for 73 days. He noted Eric and Kisha Crose had tested clean of drugs for the last six months and the children are back in their care.

Prosecutor Matt Crall told the court he did not oppose a personal recognizance bond.

Crawford County Common Pleas Court Judge Sean Leüthold agreed with Crall and Thompson. He noted the Kisha Crose’s conviction was 20 years old and therefore not a bond issue. Leüthold granted the personal recognizance bond. Because Children’s Services had returned the children back to their home, he did not impose a no-contact order.

“Look, I could have easily set a cash bond in this case. Behave yourselves and obey all the conditions of your bond,” Leuthold said.
