GALION, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Galion Community Chorus will present the 70th annual performance of Handel’s “Messiah” on Sunday Dec. 7, at 3 p.m., at Galion First United Church of Christ.

 The first performance was held in 1955 at the Galion High School auditorium, with Herb Krischbaum directing. Currently directed by Randy Mann, the free concert also features professional soloists, a 20-piece orchestra, and accompanist Patty Neff playing the harpsichord. 

The public is welcome to join the chorus after the concert for a reception in the church basement.
