Galion Free Methodist Church hosted the annual Community Awards Breakfast on Tuesday. The event is organized and conducted jointly by the Galion-Crestline Area Chamber of Commerce and the Betterment Commission.
Covert Manufacturing was named the Chamber’s Industry of the Year. Other Chamber awards were Longstreth Memorials as Business of the Year, Galion Hospital and Avita as Service Business of the Year, Betsy Beaudet as Volunteer of the Year, Jannell Benner received the President’s Award, and Annie Carter was named Professional of the Year.
The Betterment Commission handed out three awards. Galion Alliance Church Pastor Rick Maddox was named Citizen of the Year. Humanitarian of the Year went to Tammy Lee. HomeCare Matters was named Organization of the Year.
