GALION—The City Galion Civil Service Commission rendered their final order regarding the termination of former Galion Police Chief Marc Rodriguez.
In a 19-page document, the city outlines their findings of just cause to terminate Rodriguez. Rodriguez was first suspended on December 22, 2022.
In part, the order says: “ although Rodriguez did not recognize, supervisors are to be held to a higher standard, due to the responsibilities of the chief of police, or Lieutenant, it is appropriate to expect those individual selected to fill those position to be held to a higher standard.”
