Galion City Council members better have their pencils sharpened for Tuesday’s regular session at the Galion Municipal Building. Nine pieces of legislation are on the agenda.
One item, an ordinance acting on a motion by the Investment Committee, is considered emergency legislation. Two others, an alley vacation for Avita and a Freese Board appointment, are second readings.
Among the items up for a first reading are those on council rules and an ordinance which would cut in half, from 6 percent to 3 percent, the bed tax rate in the city. There are also three appointments to the Design Review committee – one for Uptowne Galion, one for Historic and the other for Harding Way West.
Tuesday’s meeting begins at 7 o’clock that evening and is open to the public.
