The Galion City Council met in regular session Tuesday evening in a brief meeting that resulted in passage of four pieces of legislation.
After approving the minutes from the previous meeting and hearing a short request from a town member, the council moved to the legislative portion of its agenda.
Four ordinances were discussed and approved. Ordinance No. 2017-19 regards the yearly contract to purchase road salt. Ordinance No. 2017-20 addressed the purchase of the new boom mower and tractor from Shearer Equipment and The Dexter Company for the service department.
Another item authorized the safety-service director to move forward with advertising for bids for the Portland Way North project. Finally, Ordinance No. 2017-22 requested financial assistance for “the installation of an ADA compliant restroom facility at Heise Park”.
For all four ordinances, the rules were suspended and they were moved forward to their final readings.
Other business conducted was adjustments to liquor licenses for the Eighteen-O-Three Taproom and Moran Foods LLC.
None of the elected officials had any reports, and the meeting was adjourned early.
