CRESTLINE—Several exciting and fun events have been planned for the rest of January by the Crawford Park District for local children and adults.

Homeschool in Nature: Trail Cameras on Jan. 14 at 9 a.m., 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. at Lowe-Volk Park, 2401 State Route 598 Crestline

This month the Crawford Park District invites homeschoolers to learn why and how researchers use trail cameras to study animals. After making some predictions of our own, we will set up a bait station and camera to monitor who or what visits our park. Dress for the weather. Classes are limited to 10 students per session. Please call the Park District at 419-683-9000 to reserve a spot for your 5-12-year-old.

Animals of the Ice Age from Jan. 6 to Jan. 31

Animals of the Ice Age Storybook Trails For the month of January, bundle up and venture out to the icy trails of five different parks of the Crawford Park District.  Each Storybook Trail will teach you about a different Ice Age Animal that walked North America during the glacial period. Take a picture with each storybook trail to earn a button and visit all 5 trails to earn an Ice Age figurine. Send pictures to aditomassi@crawfordpd.org or message Crawford Park District through our Facebook page.
