Aumiller Park in Bucyrus is a popular family destination featuring expansive green spaces, playgrounds, and picnic areas. Visitors can cool off at the splash pad, swim in the pool, or play disc golf.
Harmon Park, also located in Bucyrus, offers a peaceful retreat with open green spaces ideal for picnics and relaxation. The park also includes a soccer field and shaded areas.
On the edge of Bucyrus, Unger Park spans 53 acres and includes restored prairies, forests, and a scenic 3-mile trail system along the Sandusky River. A new walking trail connects Unger Park to Aumiller Park. Unger Park also partners with OSU Extension for orchard and field trials at Unger Farm.
Sears Woods, a beech-maple old-growth woodland along the Sandusky River, preserves one of the region’s best remaining forests. The preserve is particularly known for its spring wildflowers in May.
