With the word out that there was going to be an OVI checkpoint, festival goers seemed to be on their best behavior Friday night.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol, in conjunction with the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department held an OVI checkpoint on Friday, August 19, 2016. The checkpoint was conducted on County Road 330 near US 30 on the east side of Bucyrus.
Officers made contact with 526 vehicles that passed through the checkpoint. One vehicle was diverted for further investigation. The driver of one vehicle was issued a citation for driving without a valid driver’s license. There were no OVI arrests made at the check point.
