UPPER SANDUSKY, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)–The fourth annual Friday Fun Fest is set to bring an evening of free family entertainment and valuable community resources to Harrison Smith Park on Friday, Aug. 8, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Organized by the Wyandot County Family and Children First Council and Wyandot County Public Health, with support from various sponsors and community partners, the event aims to provide a fun, accessible outing for all ages.

The festivities kick off at 4 p.m. with “The Hub” initiating Wyandot Walks, Bikes, & Rolls, a community-supported program designed to help residents achieve their fall fitness goals. Participants will meet at the reservoir trailhead, located behind the red park bridge.

At 4:15 p.m., the official Fun Fest kickoff will take place at the Upper Sandusky Community Park Pool, hosted by Wyandot County Prevention. Attendees will receive a free beachball and gain free admission to the pool for all ages from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., courtesy of Fun Fest sponsors.

Attendees can enjoy a free dinner outside the pool area, featuring hot dogs, chips, fruit cups, snow cones, and water. Various organizations serving families in Wyandot County and beyond will be present around the white shelter building, offering displays, activities, freebies, and giveaways.

A “touch-a-truck” event will feature local first responders and law enforcement vehicles, with Mercy Health Life Flight expected to land around 6 p.m.

As part of the Wyandot County Safe Communities Drive Sober Kick Off, the third annual Zero Proof Mix Off will run from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the traffic safety tent. Visitors can sample alcohol-free drink recipes created by local organizations and vote for their favorite. A guest speaker from the Ohio State Highway Patrol will address attendees at 5 p.m. about the importance of sober driving.

Wyandot County Public Health will provide free car seat and booster seat checks from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the front of the park. Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians will conduct the checks, which typically take at least 30 minutes.
