The coveted “Republican of the Year” award was given to former Bucyrus mayor, Roger A Moore, for his years of exceptional service to Bucyrus and the Republican Party. Fonda Moore was present to accept the award on behalf of her husband.

Auditor of State Dave Yost was keynote speaker. The theme of his speech was the need for every person to understand that the success of any group is dependent upon the work and effort of every single person. No collaboration succeeds unless each person involved does their very best to accomplish their job individually.

The evening was concluded with prayer by Pastor J.C. Church as he interceded for our country and elected officials. Auditor Yost skillfully played the piano as County Prosecutor Matthew Crall led the group in “God Bless America.”
