The Woodlawn United Methodist Church Men’s Group will be hosting a Men’s Prayer Breakfast in July.
Stan Jefferson, Director of Player Development for the Ohio State Buckeyes football team, is scheduled to speak. Jefferson joined the Buckeye’s staff in 2004 as the associate director of football operations before being named director of player development in 2006. At his current position, Jefferson monitors the student-athletes academic progress and acts as the go-to person for the teams’ community relation and outreach initiatives.
Jefferson was given a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Ashland University Gridiron Club in April of this year, where he served as an assistant coach for 11 seasons. He was also inducted into the Mansfield City Schools Hall of Fame in 2009.
Jefferson spent 30 years as a high school coach and administrator in Mansfield and served as the head football coach at Mansfield Senior, where he posted a record of 65-39, captured four league titles, and made four playoff appearances.
The Prayer Breakfast will take place at 7 a.m. on July 13 at the Bucyrus Community Hospital cafeteria.
