MARION—Former Marion Judge Jason Warner and his wife Julia were ordered back to prison in a decision released by the Ohio Supreme Court this morning.
The decision signed by Ohio Supreme Court Chief Justice Maureen O’Connor read the same for both Jason Warner and his wife Julia, saying:
“Upon consideration of the jurisdictional memoranda filed in this case, the court declines to accept jurisdiction of the appeal.”
The decision goes on to declare:
“It is further ordered that the appellate’s motion for stay of execution of sentence and admission to bail is denied.”
The Warner’s were convicted in April of 2021 of complicity by leaving the scene of an accident, and each sentenced to two years in prison following an auto accident that left a Marion man badly injured.
The Warner’s were freed from prison shortly after their conviction while they waited for today’s ruling.
