GALION, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—Angela Scott, a former Police Dispatcher at the City of Galion, has reached a settlement in a sexual discrimination suit she filed back in March 2023.

The case, which has been ongoing for almost a year, saw a significant development when Scott’s counsel notified the court on January 16th that all parties had agreed to previously.

The Galion City Civil Service Commission upheld the termination of Galion Police Chief Marc Rodriquez on the complaint. Rodriquez was terminated as Chief when an investigation was conducted after the resignation of a female dispatcher (Scott) in August of 2022.

Rodriquez has also filed a civil lawsuit against the city of Galion.

Crawford County Now will continue to cover this story and the outcome of the Rodriquez lawsuit.
