The property at 865 Harding Way West in Galion has always been about helping children, whether as the county’s Children’s Home or now when the focus is therapy.
Avita Health System has opened its Pediatric Therapy Center on the property that last served as the offices of Crawford County Children’s Services.
The county turned the property over to the City of Galion after moving the Children’s Services Offices to Bucyrus. Galion then leased it to Avita four months ago.
The facility will allow its nine therapists to provide services in the areas of occupational, physical and speech therapy. In addition to decorative touches that appeal to children, the remodeled facility also has a physical therapy gymnasium equipped with a special rock wall, a specialized kitchen and an observation room.
