Five Pioneer students competed at the Annual SkillsUSA Championships held June 24-28 in Kansas City after placing first in their category during State competitions. Sheridan Stall, Tyler Quibell and Jessica Francisco were the three members of the Pioneer Community Service team that placed 3rd in the nation. Lucas Grauer placed 4th in the motorcycle maintenance contest and Caleb Ferguson competed in the criminal justice contest.

More than 15,000 students, teachers, education leaders, and representatives from more than 1,100 national corporations, trade associations, businesses and labor unions participated in the event. The SkillsUSA Championships is the national-level competition for career and technical education students, over 5,900 students compete in 98 occupational and leadership skill areas.
