LIBERTY TOWNSHIP—Several fire departments assisted the Liberty Township Volunteer Fire Department in battling a house fire Monday evening.

Liberty Township firefighters were dispatched to a Ridgeton Road residence shortly before 9 p.m. for a structure fire. Upon arrival, firefighters observed flames on one side of the home and with a quick attack, were able to extinguish the fire. New Washington Fire, along with Chatfield, Holmes and Tiro-Auburn Township Fire Departments, assisted at the scene.

No injuries were reported. Firefighters were at scene until around midnight.
