FINDLAY, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—Mayor Christina M. Muryn addressed the Findlay community today following reports of Ku Klux Klan recruitment flyers discovered on the ground within the city.
In a statement released earlier, Mayor Muryn urged residents who encounter these materials to bring them to the Findlay Police Department, along with details about where they were found. The mayor noted that Findlay is among several cities across Ohio where similar KKK flyers have been reported, often dropped along interstate routes.
“The distribution of this material appears to be an effort to gain attention, instill fear, and perpetuate dehumanization and intimidation within our community,” Muryn stated. “This behavior is unacceptable and does not represent the values of our city.”
The mayor assured residents that an investigation will be conducted to assess the situation and determine if any further action is warranted. She firmly declared that hate has no place in Findlay, stating, “I plan to give them no further attention.”
