The final defendant in the Failor Street mob fight was sentenced to prison Thursday afternoon.

Anthony Burns

Twenty-one-year-old Anthony Burns, of Bucyrus, pleaded guilty to felony 4 burglary in Crawford County Common Pleas Court. He received the maximum 18-month prison sentence in exchange for his plea.

The charge was amended down from felony 1 aggravated burglary.

The incident, which Judge Sean Leuthold termed a “mob fight” in prior proceedings, occurred on Feb. 18 when a group of people walked to a Failor Street house to take revenge on a person for beating up another. Part of the group entered the home to start a fight and serious injuries resulted from the incident, including one man being stabbed.

Co-defendant Tahshawn Jones also received an 18-month prison sentence for burglary in April while Kaylee Clark and Brianna Thoman were sentenced to 60 days in the county jail for criminal trespassing and disorderly conduct, both fourth-degree misdemeanors.

Bryan Alfrey

Fifty-four-year-old Bryan Alfrey was sentenced to six months in the county jail after previously admitting to violating his community control.

Alfrey, who pleaded guilty to assault on a peace officer in March, served just over a month of his 18-month prison sentence before being granted judicial release. He violated his probation just a day later when he used marijuana and tested positive for THC.
