The scholarship winners were:
Alexander Lawson, son of Gary and Lesley Lawson, is a Colonel Crawford graduate who will be attending West Virginia University with a major in Wildlife and Fisheries Resources.

“Throughout high school, I was active in track, cross country, FFA and volunteering. In track, I mostly ran the distance events becoming a 3-year letterman. I was also a 3-year letterman in cross country, an All-Conference runner and one of the All-County runners,” Lawson said. “In FFA, I participated in most of the contests that my school went to, but my favorites are forestry, soils, nature interpretation, wildlife management and public speaking. I served as Chapter President during my senior year. Over the summers, I volunteered to help with events that the Crawford Park District hosts.”
Tyler Bishop, son of Scott Bishop and Erica Halm, is a Bucyrus High School graduate who will be attending the University of Toledo with a major in Mechanical Engineering.

“Throughout high school, I have been involved in as many clubs and activities as I could fit into my busy schedule. I’ve always enjoyed being a part of different organizations and sports,” Bishop said. “I definitely broadened my horizons this way while in high school. There were times in which I had overpacked my schedule, especially during my senior year, but the memories I received from these experiences will definitely last a lifetime. I am grateful to say that I made the most out of my time in high school, and I hope to make many more memories in college.”
Jordann Whitmore, daughter of Christopher and Melanie Whitmore, is a Bucyrus High School graduate who will be attending Marion Technical College with a major in Occupational Therapist Assistant.

“Throughout high school, I was involved in Varsity volleyball, Marching band, Pep band, Xband, National Honor Society, Girls Boosters, Student Council, Science Club and the Mentoring Program. I also participated in Powder Puff football, painting the school rock and painting parking spots at the school,” Whitmore said. “My senior year, I was class Secretary and President of Girls Boosters. I also had a secretary role in National Honor Society and was a Co-Treasurer in Student Council.”
