GALION—On Wednesday evening, the Northmor board of education held their monthly meeting.
School fees and lunch prices for the 2022-2023 school year were approved on Wednesday evening. All fees remained the same as what they were before Covid.
Elementary fees will be thirty-five dollars for all elementary students, general fees for junior high and high school are twenty dollars, with additional fees being added depending on the course. The course fee list can be found here.
Elementary lunches are two dollars and fifty cents, 7-12 lunches are two dollars and seventy-five cents, adult lunches are three dollars and seventy-five cents, and milk is fifty cents.
Nickles Bakery was approved as the bread provider and Dairy Enterprises as the dairy provider for the Northmor cafeteria for the 2022-2023 school year.
Due to a significant cash carryover balance, there will be free breakfast provided to all Northmor students for the 2022-2023 school year.
Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment Amanda Albert, informed the board that in English Language Arts state testing, Northmor students were above average in fourteen of the twenty areas tested.
The school is experiencing three-year highs in scores in fourth-grade ELA & math, sixth-grade math, algebra I, and geometry.
The next regular board meeting is July 12 at 5:30 p.m.
