Participants and customers alike have enjoyed FCBank wall calendars featuring photography by local residents since 2010, and the 2018 wall calendar will be no different. The 2018 FCBank wall calendar will feature photos from the Central Ohio region, this year with the theme of “Americana.” The Americana theme encompasses all things that help tell the story of who we are and where we came from – from family heirlooms to well-loved toys, priceless artifacts and items of nostalgia to pop culture. Things that are red, white and blue, an aged baseball glove, or a restored car are just a few examples.
Local residents, whether a beginner, amateur or professional photographer, are encouraged to submit one or two photos online at www.FCBank.bank. Photos can be submitted through August 6, 2017.
On Wednesday, August 9, twelve winners, including Best of Show, and twenty-four honorable mentions will be selected. These photos will then be printed in the Bank’s 2018 wall calendars, which will begin to be distributed to customers throughout Ohio in November. The winners will be announced Friday, August 11, 2017.
FCBank initiated this contest to provide an avenue to feature local talent and the communities in which the Bank serves through the eyes of residents as they’ve captured with their camera.
“Over the years we’ve received fantastic entries of landscapes, wildlife and photos depicting hometown pride.” Andy Dale, FCBank President, continued, “By featuring Americana for the 2018 calendar, we hope to not only provide a calendar of photos to our customers that they can cherish, but to also depict the beauty of our communities and rich histories.”
FCBank is now accepting photo submissions on the web site. Each entrant can submit up to two photos. For details on the contest and photo requirements, visit www.FCBank.bank and click on the calendar contest ad on the homepage.
