BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a one-vehicle fatal crash that occurred Sunday, June 15, 2025, at approximately 3:31 p.m. on Knauss Road, north of State Route 294.
According to preliminary investigations, a black 2018 Mitsubishi Mirage, driven by Constantinos Charles Chavatzas, of Bucyrus, was traveling northbound on Knauss Road when it veered off the west side of the roadway. The vehicle continued northbound before striking a tree. It then came to rest partially on the pavement on the east side of Knauss Road, facing north.
The Bucyrus Fire Department, Dallas Township Fire Department, and the Crawford County Coroner’s Office also responded to the scene. Hensley’s Towing removed the vehicle. The crash remains under investigation.
