MANSFIELD—The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle fatal traffic crash that occurred on State Route 13 between Free Road and Noble Road at around 6:19 AM in the Township of Blooming grove in Richland County.
The crash occurred when a northbound 1997 tan Buick LeSabre drove left of center and struck a southbound 2016 red Dodge Grand Caravan head-on in the southbound lane of travel on State Route 13.
The driver of the LeSabre was 33-year-old Charmeka Sherman of Sandusky, Ohio. The driver of the Grand Caravan was 37-year-old Brian Hall of Wakeman, Ohio. Both Charmeka Sherman and Brian Hall were pronounced deceased at the scene.
CB&S Joint Fire Department/ EMS, Ohio Department of Transportation, and Valley Towing assisted at the scene. State Route 13 was closed in both directions for approximately four hours but is now open.
The crash remains under investigation.
