GALION — A Gallia County man involved in a fatal crash in rural Galion on Thursday afternoon remains in hospital care.
According to Crawford County Sheriff Scott Kent, the driver of a Ford F-550 is listed as being in stable condition after being transported to Grant Medical Center in Columbus after a crash at the intersection of Monnett-New Winchester Road and Ohio 100.

Reports said the Gallia County man failed to yield at the intersection and struck a 2001 Toyota driven by a Crawford County man.
The Gallia County man was transported by the Galion Fire Department to Galion Community Hospital in critical condition before being flown by medical helicopter to Columbus.

The Crawford County man was loaded into a MedFlight helicopter but was removed due to his condition and was transported by Life Support Team EMS to Galion Community Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The identities of the drivers have not yet been released by the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office.
